- Any illegal activities are strictly forbidden
- Every member must keep their contact information up to date (ie. inform INXS staff about changes)
- The primary method for communication with the INXS operators and members is e-mail.
- Every member should answer e-mail to the supplied contact information from INXS members or potential new INXS members within 5 working days.
- Members must not redirect their customers to the INXS operator without permission.
- Only routers hosted in Cable & Wireless housing facilities may be connected to the INXS switches. Connecting LAN-Links directly to the INXS switch is not allowed to prevent outages due to misconfiguration and/or faulty hardware.
- INXS members must only use IP addresses on the interface(s) of their router(s) connected to the INXS peering LAN allocated to them.
- INXS members must only use one single MAC address for each INXS switch port that is allocated to them.
- Peering between the members is done via BGP version 4
- INXS Members should not create any unnecessary route flaps
- No member is allowed to announce routes with a next-hop other than his own router(s).
- Every member must disable the following on their interface(s) connected to the peering LAN: Proxy ARP, ICMP redirects, CDP, IRDP, directed broadcasts, IEEE 802 spanning tree, any interior routing protocol and MAC layer broadcasts except ARP.
- Members must disable any duplex, speed or other link parameter auto-sensing on all interfaces connected to the peering LAN.
- Communication on the INXS mailing lists is confidential and may not be forwarded to third parties.
- Every member has to make sure that their usage of the INXS does not handicap other members.
- Members should not routinely use the INXS for carrying traffic between their own routers.
- Usage of the INXS must at all times conform to the relevant standards as laid out in STD0001 and associated Internet STD documents
